Terms of use
These terms explain how to use OpenPrep and what to expect from its practice tools.
Effective September 26, 2026
Using OpenPrep
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Use a valid email address, keep your sign-in details private, and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity through your account. Contact us if you think it has been accessed without your permission.
Practice and progress
OpenPrep is a study aid. Questions, explanations, games, analytics, and recommendations are provided for learning; they are not official SAT or ACT materials or a promise of a particular test score. Accuracy and time statistics describe only the work recorded in OpenPrep. Some features may be limited to licensed student accounts or may change as the service develops.
Appropriate use
Do not try to access another person’s account or records, bypass access restrictions, disrupt the service, upload malicious content, or use automated requests that interfere with other students. You may use the question bank for your own study. Do not republish or bulk redistribute questions, passages, explanations, or other materials without permission from the applicable rights holder.
Content and third-party rights
OpenPrep includes materials created or licensed by different rights holders. Credits shown with individual questions or resources remain with those materials. The WordNet 3.0 license applies to WordNet material included in the vocabulary tools. OpenPrep is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the College Board or ACT, Inc. SAT® and ACT® are trademarks of their respective owners.
Account closure
You can permanently delete your account in Settings. We may restrict access when needed to protect users, comply with law, or respond to misuse. The Privacy policy explains how data is handled and what account deletion covers.
Availability and changes
We work to keep OpenPrep available and its content accurate, but features may be interrupted, updated, or removed. We may revise these terms as the service changes. The effective date above identifies this version; continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
